Good news, everyone!

I've been badgered by the Brap to post this up, as apparently it's a bigger deal than I thought.

Observant followers will notice I haven't posted for a while. This is due in part to me leaving good ol' Preston, to the "sunnier" climes of Liverpool. Why would I do such a thing? Well, I landed myself a nice new job with Sony. Playstation, to be precise. Some (such as Brap himself) have informed me that I'm living the dream, as I get paid to play games, which is precisely what I'd be doing anyway, just without the getting paid part.

It's definitely a great job, no denying. I'm getting an amazing insight into games development, as well as playing stuff before release ;)

Now as you'd expect, I'm under a very strict NDA (Non disclosure Agreement). I'm really not at liberty to tell you exactly how MoH stacks up against Black Ops, or If you should get PES instead of Fifa. Not at least until they're released. But I do know, and I'll be using this insight to see if games have changed from when I've played them, and if they've got better.

With that out of the bag, I'm going back to skulking and planning future features.
Happy gaming, everyone!

  1. I hate to burst your balloon, but I know someone who's done that job, at Sony in Liverpool, and he considered it the worst job he's ever done. Playing games all day sounds great, but you'll be playing the same bit, of the same game, over and over and over. You ever got stuck on one bit of a game, and got really frustrated? It's like that. All day, every day. The place is also apparently full of dickheads. They also sacked him for posting something about work on Facebook. Not fun.

  2. Well, I'm sad to hear about this person, but my experience so far is remarkably different.
I enjoy my job, get on with my coworkers, and am fully aware of what it entails. I've been there for 2 months now, by the way and came into it fully knowing what the work was like as I have friends that started in the very same position.
